He is the founder of the firm (1961) and the audit firm, tax advisory firm „ecoplan Wirtschafts-beratung GmbH“ (1989). He handed over the firm and the ecoplan Wirtschaftsberatung GmbH to his son Michael Härer in 2004 within the framework of his succession. Dr. Härer studied law and economics in Würzburg and Graz (Austria) from 1953 until 1959, with a degree in law in Würzburg and a degree in economics with doctorate in Graz. In 1961 he was admitted to the bar in Coburg, 1965 he was admitted as a specialist lawyer for tax law and 1968 as Chartered Accountant.  In the law firm of Georg Gewiese, Düsseldorf, Dr. Härer received a special training in the field of the commercial legal protection; in the law firm of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Haas, Munich, a further special training in the field of taxation of foreign relationse. The focus of his current activities is on strategy consulting, succession solutions, international relations and the personal support of long-term clients. Dr. Härer is a member of various supervisory and advisory boards of companies in different sectors, and also of social facilities.
